Telangana makes QR code and reflective stickers on transport vehicles mandatory to improve night visibility

• According to the Department, the move is per Rules 104 to 104(E) of the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, and is aimed at improving visibility of vehicles at night.
• This, the Department stated, would reduce accidents on highways and road and lanes that are not properly illuminated.
• The reflective tapes affixed to transport vehicles are to carry Transport Department hologram, a unique serial number and a QR code that can be scanned by enforcement personnel to confirm authenticity.
