US President Donald Trump has offered to resume mediation between Egypt and Ethiopia over the long-running dispute on sharing Nile River waters. In a letter to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on Friday, which he also shared on his Truth Social account, Trump said the United States was ready to restart talks to resolve the issue. Referring to his personal relationship with Sisi and America’s commitment to peace, he said Washington was prepared to help reach a responsible and lasting solution to the Nile water-sharing dispute.
