Wed, December 24, 2025 at 5:49 PM UTC·5 min readDec. 24—JAMESTOWN — The University of Jamestown recently inflated the new Nelson Family Bubble that is expected to be ready for student-athletes in January while also starting construction on its new dining center, according to the vice president of student affairs at UJ. Dustin Jensen said the university is hopeful that the Nelson Family Bubble will be available for use as soon as its baseball and softball teams are allowed to start practice and play games. He said the football and track and field teams will be able to use the facility as well. AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementHe said the university is hopeful that the dining center will be ready at the start of the fall semester in 2026 but it will probably open sometime in October. Jensen said construction crews could get the dining center's walls and roof constructed sometime in January or February. He said the old dining center was demolished and the footings for the new one have been installed. Afire extensively damaged the kitchenand dining area of the Badal Nafus Center, which is now called the Badal Nafus Student Union, in January.
