- Satya Kumar noted that girls secured 60.72% of this year’s admissions.
- Compared to 2023-24, when girls secured 57.06% admissions, and 2024-25, when they secured 57.96%, this year, the number of girls who took admissions in the MBBS course increased by 3.66%, the Minister said.
- He noted that the figures point to the change taking place in the mindset of parents regarding their daughters’ future.
- In the 2025–26 academic year, there were a total of 6,430 MBBS seats.
- Under the convener quota, 2,617 seats went to girls and 1,638 to boys.
