The trials are being conducted in collaboration with the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, under the auspices of the Wrestling Federation of India, J&K Sports Council and the J&K Olympic Association. According to the organizers, selected wrestlers in each weight category will represent Jammu and Kashmir in the Federation Cup, scheduled to be held at Dasna, Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh), from February 12 to 14, 2026.
