Stock market next week: The Indian stock market ended on a higher note on Friday, December 5, following Reserve Bank of India's decision to cut repo rates by 24 bps, along with its plan to inject ₹1.45 lakh crore into the system through bond purchases and dollar–rupee swaps. Recording gains for the second straight session, the Sensex rose 447 points (0.52%) to finish at 85,712.37, while the Nifty 50 advanced 153 points (0.59%) to close at 26,186.45. The BSE Midcap index inched up 0.21%, whereas the Smallcap index slipped 0.67%.
