In a new interview with Time, the 45-year-old revealed that she changed her name ever-so slightly before her family appeared on E!’s “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” in 2007.“I used to always go by Kimberly, until we signed on to do the reality show,” she said. The “All’s Fair” star went on to explain that she was inspired to shorten her name when she saw how it looked onscreen. “And when I looked at my chyron, Kimberly Kardashian, I said, ‘I think that’s so long for people to say.’ And like, ‘Let’s just shorten it to Kim,’” she said. Even though Kardashian decided to go by her nickname, she still had to get used to seeing it onscreen.“And it’s so weird, because all my friends from high school and growing up, and my dad, everyone calls me Kimberly,” she said.
