Published - January 22, 2026 08:16 pm IST - Thiruvananthapuram The Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST) notched up one more product to its long line of indigenously developed medical devices on Thursday when it unveiled its latest, a wound care dressing named CholeDerm, fabricated from the gall bladder (cholecyst) of farm animals. The Institute claimed that it was the world ‘s first tissue graft scaffold of animal origin for accelerated wound healing. The technology, developed by a team led by T. V.
