The senior official visited the hospital on Tuesday, interacted with the bereaved family, police personnel, doctors, hospital staff and other witnesses, and reviewed the circumstances that led to the lapse. OFFICIALS FACE ACTIONIn a swift administrative response, the minister ordered the suspension of four officials for dereliction of duty. Those suspended include the hospital superintendent, the Resident Medical Officer on duty, a medical officer, and a mortuary supporting staff member. A statement said the government would take steps to prevent such incidents in the future. Ajay Kumar assured that corrective measures would be implemented to strengthen security and improve mortuary infrastructure. The incident has sparked calls from local residents for stricter oversight and better maintenance at government hospitals.
