Software major Wipro has sharpened its hybrid work policies, introducing stricter office attendance norms that signal a broader shift in how India’s IT industry views remote work. While Wipro has required employees to come to the office three days a week for some time, the company has now specified a minimum stay of six hours per office day. This duration is calculated between the first “in” and final “out” punch, marking a departure from the earlier flexible approach to working hours. The Bengaluru-based IT exporter, which employs approximately 234,000 people globally, introduced the revised policy on January 1.
